This year’s OFSC Volunteer Recognition Awards ceremony proudly celebrated and honoured the dedicated, hard-working volunteers whose passion and commitment made the 2025-26 season such a success.

Big news! An OFSC club has won the Canadian Council of Snowmobile Organizations (CCSO) Excellence Award for Outstanding Snowmobile Club! The recipient of this award must be a member club of a federation or association affiliated with the CCSO that has distinguished itself in the following areas: management, trail development, grooming and quality, safety, environment, promotion and development and community outreach.

As an OFSC club volunteer, I’m writing to fellow snowmobilers about how we can keep enjoying snowmobiling in Ontario. These reflections come from my own volunteer experience and my enjoyment of this wonderful winter sport.

Winter may feel a long way off right now. The trails have traded snow for sunshine, the groomers are parked, and most of us are doing our best to survive another Ontario heat wave. But while we're counting down to cooler days, it's the perfect time to recognize the people who make winter happen.

Every ride. Every trail. Every season. It all happens because of our volunteers. Our volunteers are the heart of Ontario's snowmobiling community - dedicating their time, skills and passion to keep our trails safe, our clubs strong, and our sport thriving. This year, Volunteer Canada is celebrating International Volunteer Year 2026 with the Ignite Volunteerism theory and in celebration, we'll be sharing all of the shout outs submitted by snowmobilers in appreciation for all of their hard work.

This award is presented to a female volunteer in recognition of their contributions in one or more of the following areas: rider experience, volunteer culture, initiatives and/or partnerships.
