We are very proud to announce that an OFSC family has won a CCSO Excellence Award for Family of the Year!
This CCSO award is presented to a family that belongs to a club of a federation or association affiliated with the CCSO and has distinguished themselves in the following areas: volunteerism, leadership, safety, the environment, promotion of responsible snowmobiling and development and community outreach.
The Dzijacky family has been very active with volunteering – over 20 years ago! At the start, both Patrick and Katelin were members with Marathon before moving to Timmins. As some time went on, they were blessed with two beautiful children, Piper and Greyson, who followed in their parent’s footsteps – volunteering for the OFSC. Both parents were ready to take on any role that came their way, from landowner relations coordinator, to hosting driver training sessions. Patrick has hosted countless training sessions, not only in Timmins, but across the District. Last season, Timmins Snowmobile Club was in search for a President and guess who stepped up to the challenge? Patrick. Weekend after weekend, this family is out on the trails brushing, clearing, trail patrolling, you name It. The time this family dedicates to organized snowmobiling cannot be tracked. Their time and effort has not gone unnoticed and club members are extremely grateful for each and every one of them.
Congratulations to the Dzijacky family on your much deserved award!
