SCOTT BOON
SCOTT BOON
OFSC Governor
Scott started snowmobiling with his family in the early 70’s and recalls being “pulled all over the countryside south of Peterborough” along with his two siblings. His passion for snowmobiling started young and to this day, Scott loves being able to leave home and ride for miles on day trips, overnighters or even multi-day tours, exploring areas that aren’t easily accessible with other forms of transportation. He and his wife, Shelley have been snowmobiling together for the last 30 years and will continue to do so into the future.
Scott started out as a volunteer with the Buckhorn District Snowmobile Club in 2009 re-decking a bridge and before he knew it, Scott was a Club Director soon to move on to Vice President and then President. In addition to his role as OFSC Governor, Scott is an active trail patroller, driver training instructor and a volunteer groomer operator. He is continually impressed by the dedication and enthusiasm of all organized snowmobiling volunteers and is amazed at what our volunteers are willing to do in the coldest days (and nights) of winter.
Scott recognizes that his role as Governor requires a provincial point of view to ensure decisions are made for the betterment of the entire province while taking into account local interests of our member Snowmobile Clubs. He believes that by working together, we can achieve much more and leverage the best practices and experience from our fellow clubs and districts.
